The Chinese Culture Center, a non-profit and non-political organization, was founded in 1980 to promote, preserve, and influence the course of Chinese-American Culture. The Chinese Culture Center offers a variety of educational and cultural programs. These programs range from lectures, workshops, dance and musical performances – all of which enable members of the Chinese-American community and the general public to gain a deeper knowledge of historical Chinese and Chinese-American Culture. The Center also conduct the Youth Summer Camp, teaching dance, singing, Chinese painting, arts and crafts, and hosting an annual Spring Festival to celebrate Chinese New Year, and participate and co-sponsor the Annual Dragon Boat Festival at Riverfront, Hartford.
